AM 618 arrives at Penrose bound for Manukau. During a weekend block of line, Southern Line trains were diverted to Manukau, where they connected with rail replacement buses to Papakura and Pukekohe. This gave Manukau a temporary increase in weekend frequency and also services direct to Newmarket

Another unidentified AM passes the derailment site at Southdown. During recovery work, the overhead on the Up Main was switched off, and so all trains were routed on the Down Main. This train had to wait at Westfield for a southbound Manukau train to pass through first, so suffered some minor delays when combined with the speed restrictions
