DA 1410 and J 1234's first leg of their relocation trip to Paekakariki, travelling from Glenbrook Vintage Railway to Te Rapa. DA 1429 provided motive power, but suffered a fault at Pukekohe requiring the fuel pump to be swapped with the one from DA 1410. We see the train at Glenbrook, Pukekohe, Pokeno and Mercer.
The weekend of 16 and 17 May 2015 saw all-EMU services in the electrified area for the first time, another milestone in the rollout of the AM class. In Part 1, we take a brief look at the last diesel service, the Pukekohe shuttle, then see EMUs south of Homai. In Part 2, the Western Line will be featured.
